waking up is hard to do
2003-10-17 @ 11:07 a.m.

i was awake from 6:30 to 8 this morning, then went back to sleep. i dare not actually get to work on time. argh. but whatever. somehow, i still manage to be tired. 16 oz coffee isn't helping yet.

i need time to wake up. after i'm already awake and out of bed, i mean. sitting on a couch or a chair looking out through a window at the world around me. slowly coming back into the land of the awake and living.

raw voice, thank you for your guestbook note. just being here and writing and reading feels like coming home for me too.

question: has anyone taken a writing class from writers.com? i'm eyeing a creative non-fiction class in the hopes of getting some more writing under my belt so i'm not completely behind when i start the mfa program. i'm curious if anyone has opinions on or experiences with a class through them--positive or negative--or with the teacher, sf-area writer laurie wagner. muchas gracias in advance.
