last tuesday i... - slogged through DC humidity
- had lunch with eleanor clift
- perused kramerbooks, my old favorite neighborhood bookstore
- bought an african drumming masters cd at my old indie music store
- walked by my old apartment, confirming that yes, there are still shady people hanging out in front and that yes, gentrification still has not made it east of 11th on P street
- took pictures of brick rowhouses of assorted colors on P and Q streets between dupont and logan circles
- made it to the bar before the thunder started rolling and the sky started pouring
- had vanilla vodka & coke at fox & hounds with oliva & ashley
- got in an argument with a woman at the bar because of her skewed and improper jukebox use (put a dollar in, choose one song, dance, come back, choose another song, dance, shoo people away from said jukebox because she hasn't picked all her songs yet)
- walked to adams morgan
- had dinner with the whole SNDP crew (you know we're DC people when even our group of friends is a friggin' acronym) at meskerem, my favorite ethiopian restaurant
- followed up dinner with crepes down the street, making every stupid joke akin to "i'm full of crepe" and cracking up every time
- parted with my beloved friends until the next time...
