carol moseley braun is dropping out of the presidential race. i'm shocked, though i'm sure many people would argue that i shouldn't be. i'm sad. i'm angry. and a part of me feels a little betrayed. but mostly i'm sad and angry. sad that i'm not going to have the chance to vote for her. angry that even in the new york time article about her leaving the race reporter jodi wilgoren follows the herd in describing the candidate as "eloquent." is this such a huge shock to everyone, that an african american woman in the presidential race is eloquent?? arrrrrrgh. i just found this out and it's too late to call anyone on the east coast and lament about it. so i'm just politically sad on my own.
