the irritating thing about gloria feldt's* new book, the war on choice, is that it doesn't say the word abortion anywhere on the front or back cover of the book. how in the hell can we fight to protect something if we can't even say the word? arrrgh! * gloria feldt is the head of planned parenthood federation of america. someone you wouldn't think would go to extremely great lengths to avoid saying that ghastly "A" word. by all means, not the A word. ew no. what would people think of us? we love the mushy middle. think of her as a modern day carrie chapman catt. "fighting" for our rights without having to actually sully herself by talking explicitly about the issue. so, just for good measure, abortion abortion abortion abortion abortion abortion abortion abortion. there. now that wasn't so difficult. i guess pandering to the center and right of center just isn't my gig.
